My Design Philosophy

The Why behind what I do

I view the world around me, or in this context, the problem at hand, as a set of Lego with missing instruction manual. Where the blocks are the things available at hand to work with, be it either stakeholders, tools, or methodologies, and what the client wants is the finished perfect set. In a less than ideal scenario, it is impossible to get around building the set as it was intended to be, but you can always build the second best thing, then work on it some more and get to the closest recreation of the original set possible!

As a researcher, I am a firm believer of ‘Getting something out there, we can always come around and make it better’. Design is most powerful when it solves problems with empathy and clarity, and getting the feedback and reaction at the right is critical for a good design to be developed, or to bring a change out there in the real world.

As a designer, along with my hard skills, I believe my forte lies when I bring soft skills to the table, my experience across different fields, interacting with different individuals along with the out of context advices I’ve gotten from various places, breaking those down to nuances and then reapplying it in my work is where I believe I shine the most. And this is what I try to get across out there through my designs!

Does my thought process resonate with you?

Then I’d love to work with you to make something wonderful!
